Herbert Wilson Foster provided three illustrations for the 1870 Memorial Edition, as well as the portrait of George Heath. The 1880 edition includes an additional drawing of Mow Cop. I have included these at the relevant points within the online editions of the book. They can also be viewed here alongside more recent photographs of the same places. |

I’ve also added some photos of ‘Rudyard Lake’ and ‘The Roches’, places mentioned in George Heath’s poems.
